The project CAT aim to explore a new approach to think and design digital graphics through, in particular, content-aware templates. Indeed, the advances in the field of computer vision offer today new possibilities of interaction with images on the Internet.
However, these different models and algorithms are generally not accessible to designers today. The objective of this part of the research project will therefore be to develop a prototype of a template creation tool that will allow designers to design layouts (text-image interaction) that take into account the content of the images. The design work will focus in particular on an exploration of interaction techniques that allow text and image to interact.
This prototype will then be tested with web designers and graphic designers in order to explore with them what a tool of this type could change (or not) to their practices.
